First one of the year!
Very exciting day today; Patou Tiberious’ first born son has arrived!!
He was born just before we got to the farm this morning. They make a habit of this, about half were there when we got there last year too.
Very pleased indeed with the colour of this little boy. He is the spitting image of his illustrious grandsire, Toft Timogen. We can only hope he takes after him with his fibre characteristics and confirmation too.
Mum is the lovely Apollo Juniper who has the best fibre of our girls and a fantastic temperament. Hopefully he will inherit that from her.
She is such a good mum!
Baby weighs in at a whopping 9.7kg. That’s about 22lb in old money; the average is about 7kg, give or take, so he’s a big boy. He was up and searching for the milk bar within half an hour.
I don’t name them until they are a week old, but this year is “C” names….. and GO…..
